The next month will be quite busy with many of our groups. Here's some important dates and events to remember...
BANQUET
Our annual banquet is on the evening of April 7. There should be a sign up for tickets soon - not sure who is organizing it yet, but I will pass on information as soon as I know more details.
COAST ZONE RACE
We have one more race to put on - the Coast Zone Finals - and the call is out for volunteers. This race is for all the older racers, including the NG 9-12 year olds. There will be an additional cost for this race so we'll organize a sign up soon. Stay tuned for further information.
SPEED CAMP
The K1s are invited to participate in the speed camp April 25 - 28. The mountain is closed but they open it up for our racers. There is an extra cost, but kids can earn back the money when they participate in mountain clean up later in the year. Contact John Trimmer for more info and to let him know if your child will attend.
MT. HOOD SUMMER CAMP
Each season the club travels to Mt Hood (Timberline) Oregon for an on snow ski camp in late August. John chooses late August because the lineups of the early season are gone, the weather is historically very good and we often get cool nights and naturally frozen snow. This seasons camp is booked for the following days, August 21-24 (25th off) and 26-29
John would like to extend an invitation to any Kstars that wish to join in for first 4 days? or whole camp? The Mount Hood area is a wonderful vacation spot with tons of outdoor activities like biking, hiking and of course water sports at the nearby Hood river gorge. Again, contact John if you're interested

COAST ZONE K1 RACE INFORMATION
Just in case you didn't see John's email, here's the info he sent out regarding our race this weekend:
Extra Training Day:
We have race training tomorrow on the race hill, regular times at cabin. Please ensure ski's are well tuned as it is very firm out.
Race Days:
Athletes will need to be on the orange chair at 7:30 on all race days. They will load the chair and warmup on fantastic meeting Burk at the top of the race hill by 8:15.
What to Wear/Bring:
Please ensure you dress warm under your DH suits and over the suits.
Pack an extra fleece or jacket to leave at the bottom of the race hill so you can warm up after your race run.
Make sure you have some water and snacks as the race hill. "Invitation" is a long way from the lodge and you do not have a ton of time on race days.
